How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you browse the store, create an account, place an order, personalise a product, subscribe, complete a form or contact us. We also receive information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from service providers that help us operate the store, process payments, analyse use, deliver communications and ship orders.
How we use information
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- accept, personalise, produce, dispatch and deliver orders;
- send order, payment, dispatch and tracking communications;
- provide sizing, product, delivery, return and customer support;
- process cancellations, replacements and refunds;
- maintain accounts and remember cart or store preferences;
- detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents;
- understand and improve our website, products, communications and customer experience;
- send marketing only where you have subscribed or otherwise permitted it, and honour unsubscribe requests;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Cookies, analytics and marketing
Shopify and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember selections, measure performance, understand visits and support marketing. We currently use Google Analytics for website analytics and Klaviyo for email marketing and related measurement.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may prevent parts of the store, including cart or account features, from working correctly.
Marketing email is sent only to people who have subscribed or otherwise permitted it. You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service messages required to fulfil an order or respond to a request.
When we disclose information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose only the information reasonably required to the following categories of recipient:
- Shopify, which hosts and operates the ecommerce store;
- payment providers, including PayPal, to authorise and process payments, refunds and disputes;

- communications providers, including Feishu Mail and Klaviyo, to receive enquiries and send service or marketing messages;
- analytics providers, including Google Analytics, to understand store use and performance;
- professional advisers and technical service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, secure or advise the business; and
- courts, regulators, law enforcement or other parties where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices where they act independently.
International processing
Amulcat is operated from China and the Amulcat team in mainland China handles personalisation, order administration and customer support. Your information will therefore be processed in China. Shopify, PayPal, Google, Klaviyo, Feishu and logistics providers may also process or store information in Australia, China, the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate.
Privacy protections and government access rules can differ between countries. We take reasonable steps appropriate to our operations to limit access to people and providers who need the information for the purposes described in this policy.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including fulfilling orders, providing support, maintaining tax and accounting records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and complying with law. When information is no longer reasonably required, we will delete or de-identify it where practicable, subject to lawful recordkeeping requirements and routine backups.
Security
We use administrative, technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No website, transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please do not send card numbers, PayPal passwords or other sensitive payment credentials through our forms or email.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw a marketing subscription, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where required by law or reasonably needed to complete a transaction, prevent fraud or resolve a dispute.
To make a privacy request or complaint, email privacy@amulcat.com. Please describe the request and include the email address connected with your order or interaction. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Amulcat is not directed to children. A person under 18 should place an order only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate involvement, contact us.
